Sooo much to tell you!!!!!

Okay guys and gals, I havent been able to log in here for ages and in that time, my house is almost finished!!  Yes finished!!

The builders reckon they will be finished in the next couple of weeks and here was me thinking we wouldnt be in until next year!!!!

Seeing as I havent been able to log in since July, I figure I should post some before and after photos!!
Sorry if it gets a bit boring but I find it super exciting!! lol

It was my birthday on this day the 8th of August, best pressie ever was seeing the frames arrive!!!



Then came the Sand Pad!!!



The concrete boys did an awesome job!!  8 Trucks of Cement there, 140 cubes the boys told me!! lol

A week later and the frames went up!  Those boys move fast!!

My house was green for a little while!!

My final floor choice!!  Cant wait for hubby and I to install this!!  We have so much work to do on this house but I am soooooo looking forward to it all!!

Its like my own version of the block but its mine!! lol

A change

Sorry I havent been around for a while guys!!  I havent been able to access my blog, I could view but couldnt sign in to write anything!!!  Grrr I managed to get in through google today but I tried that yesterday and it wouldnt work!!  lol  Oh well, Im here!!

So in house news, we had our plans knocked back by the council apparently you can have any colorbond colour you want except for the one I want which is Surf Mist!!!  I had to change colour within 7 days or risk having to wait 21 days and reapply then wait the 30 days it takes them to give approval!!

Hence my roof is now going to be Shale Grey!!  Im not going to end up with a grey house with a white roof like I dreamed, but I will have a house and that is the most important thing!!

Hopefully now we have come to an agreement on color our house should be able to start next week!!!

Signage

Woop Woop we have a sign peoples!!!  I took a drive out to the block today and our builders have put up their sign!!  Its all feeling a little surreal.  Hubby just had to buy a  ride on lawn mower and has been out there today mowing the block.  You can just see piles of grass in the background.

I cant wait to get out of our "dog box" rental and into our new home, which I know is months away but Im still super excited about it all.

So I figured out how to get the photos from my iphone to my computer so your in luck!!!!  I have a whole heap of pics for you!!  These were all taken on a rainy day last week, its been raining here a lot lately, which is kinda nice!!  I like rain!!

We are Lot 24!!  It was very exciting when the SOLD sticker went up!!!

This is our car on the block basically where our garage should be!! lol  I love the hills in the background and the misty rain was glorious to watch come over the hill.

And this is our block from the front!!  1 whole acre of land for my three ferals to run around on!!!  Our boys are really looking forward to somewhere to kick the footy around and my little M is just hanging out to have some "baby chickens"  and a kitty cat.  The chickens are definantly coming but the cat Im not so sure on!! lol

Hubby is looking forward to having his BIG shed which he is apparently turning into his man cave.  I think he might want to live in it the amount of  stuff he wants to put in it!!!  Oh well boys will be boys!!

Okay, so Im back but I have no pictures to show yet!! I cant seem to figure out how to get the pics from my iphone to the computer!! If my computer wasnt so darn old it might be easier!! Hmmmm maybe a laptop is in order! lol No fear though peoples I am going to head out to the block tomorrow and take some pics to show you all.

A sad farewell

No Im not bidding you all farewell, not when I have only just got back, lol!! Yesterday we had my husbands grandfathers funeral, it was a very sad day. As far as funerals go it was a beautiful send off and fitted him to a tee, but still a very sad day.

Sunday saw us all at church for me and the kids to be baptised, followed by one of my best friends sons 4th birthday!! I have been busy, busy, busy!! Last night my hubby announced that tonight we will be heading down south for tues and wed night for a break!! I think after all we have been doing lately I need it!!

Things are still quiet on the house front just waiting on the letter of approval from the bank and we are all systems go!! Woohoo finally!! I will post a pic of our block and the house plan as soon as I figure how to get them off my iphone and on to my computer!

Two days in a row

So I am posting two days in a row! Yay me, its a record!!

Today was super busy getting ready for mine and my childrens baptism tomorrow. For the last year (yes a year peoples) I have been studying to become a catholic. It started out so I could understand what my children learn about as they attend a catholic school. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and I am very happy to be joining the church tomorrow.

It has been a hectic couple of weeks of me sewing my daughters christening dress and making her headband along with baking up a storm for the morning tea afterwards!! I now have to bake double though as on Monday will be burying my husbands grandfather. A very sad state of affairs indeed.

Well its back to the oven I go. I just wanted to actually post on here again, hopefully I will be back tomorrow with some pics of the christening for you all!! xx

Thinking

So its been about a year since I last posted on my blog!! I have read plenty of blogs in that time but I never seem to write anything on mine!!! I was reading Katrina's (from the Block) this morning and I realised if she can "wing" it so can I!!!

I started this blog about trying to get into a little brown dress that I have!! I still dont fit into it but I am getting close!!

I do have some great news though, we sold our house and we are about to start building on an acre!!! I cant wait!! We are currently renting a tiny 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house. We are a family of 5 so its a bit squishy!! The kids all share as 1 bedroom has no carpet or window treatments and the owner isnt interested in putting any in so we use that room for storage!!

We have our plans now and we are just waiting for shire approval and then we can start!! YAY
